A stunning historical building and a cutting-edge all-day dining and bar concept

Frescohallen Restaurant - This is a unique and cutting-edge all-day dining and bar concept that opened in May 2022 in a stunning building designed by Frank Wilhelm Schiertz in late classicist style and built around 1860. It became the place to be in Bergen, Norway. Axel Revold painted the high ceilings of the Frescohallen between 1922 and 1923 incorporating themes related to Bergen's social and economic life. Claesson Koivisto Rune, the Swedish architect famous for K5 in Tokyo and Nobis in Stockholm, designed the brand-new restaurant's interior.
Rune used the fresco experience and the royal details to recreate the glamour of a bygone age which is uniquely infused with a contemporary soul.

The contemporary of the space is given by the Minimalist Scandinavian Design used to build the 822 Collection, a collaboration between the architect and the legendary brand, TON. Chairs, armchairs, and barstools are characterized by manual wood-bending technology which gains a unique character from the graphic dot perforations in the plywood seat and backrest.
