Islets Side Table

The Islets Table series is a precise design with a strong identity, based on a simple construction, where details are kept to a minimum. It’s an approach that reflects the sculptural minimalism of Danish designer Maria Bruun, who seeks a balance between a light feeling in the expression and pieces with a strong, assertive presence. Fredericia introduces Complements – A new line of material-driven pieces conceived as collector’s items to complement our portfolio. Complements is a new collection of designs that join our main collection of furniture. A line of collectibles rooted in our passion for materiality comprised of functional pieces with aesthetic qualities that are equally appealing as decorative elements. From objects and small functional furniture to hidden gems from our archives with a renewed relevance. With Complements, we expand on our expertise with materiality to encompass a range of accessories and furnishings that - together with our line of furniture - create a look and feel for an entire interior or concept. Drawing on our legacy of working with wood and leather, we’ve explored other materials with textures, colours and compositions that bring an extra dimension to the atmosphere. The result is a celebration of materiality in well-considered concepts that are refined, authentic, inviting and crafted to last. We’re always open to designers, where we feel a strong connection with their work and a mutual mindset. For Complements, we’ve engaged with the next wave of new talent in Denmark and abroad. Both new and established names, who share our affinity for honest materials and purposeful design. Complements remains true to our design heritage at Fredericia while staying in tune with the world at large. Each piece is distinctive, yet they all reflect our pioneering spirit to create essentials with presence and permanence. Collectibles to cherish now – and for generations to come.

Pato Office 5 Point Swivel Base Armchair - Pato Office Armchair is fitted with a 5-point star swivel base on casters. The frame has a swivel feature with height adjustable gaslift and a tilt function for comfortable task seating. The arms can be used for suspension on any table. The chair can be tuned from basic to exclusive with optional upholstery. Pato is a prime example of our focus on sustainability and protecting the environment, reflected in a chair that’s 100% renewable and recyclable. All components can be incorporated into future furniture production, thus contributing to a circular economy by minimising the use of materials, resources, waste and pollution. Merging traditional production methods with cutting-edge technology, Pato is a human-centric, highly versatile series of multi-purpose functional furniture that draws on our in-depth experience with materials, immaculate detailing and heritage of fine craftsmanship. Allowing us to apply our high standards of texture, finish and carpentry techniques to an array of materials in addition to wood for products aimed at a mass market. With its clean lines and curves, Pato echoes the ethos of Danish-Icelandic design duo Welling/Ludvik. Demonstrating their belief that good design has the ability to be interesting, even when reduced to its most simple form. Where anything extraneous is eliminated and every detail has a purpose. Together we spent nearly three years developing the shell structure to have a soft surface that’s also wear and tear resistant. Enhancing the chair’s ability to optimally conform to the user’s body is a subtle beveled edge. A technique from classic cabinetmaking, which gives the chair a sense of handcrafted finesse. Each Pato is detailed and finished by hand by our highly skilled crafts people, who refine the beveled edge and the silky, resilient surface. Setting a new standard for the execution and finish of polypropylene. Since the success of its initial launch, we’ve expanded Pato into an extensive collection of variants, featuring armchairs, barstools, office swivel chairs and a long list of more, with frame options in wood, steel or painted steel. Including upholstered versions in fabric or leather to increase the possibilities for a more personalised visual statement. As a result, Pato meets the diverse needs of a global market. From large-scale public arenas, such as airports, to executive environmens, collaborative work settings, multi-purpose retail complexes, formal and informal settings within the hospitality sector as well as private dining and relaxing.
