Petra Cabinet

<p>Petra is a two-door cabinet made as a single block using wood with vertical grain. It is manually finished on all sides using a plane. The hinges are concealed. The entire manufacturing and finishing process is carried out manually in our workshop. The wood used for this item is Sipo mahogany. In this cabinet the need to achieve greater lightness led us to taper the shape as it rises, resulting in these forms which are striking and meaningful albeit functional as containers and custodians.<br /> The architectural function always goes beyond the immediate practical use.</p>

Comacina Lounge Chair - <p>Comacina is an armchair made as a single block using wood with vertical grain. It is manually finished on all sides using a plane. The entire manufacturing and finishing process is carried out manually in our workshop. The wood used for this item is linden, typical of the European climate zone and used in traditional Latin sculpture. With a faint grain, linden is distinguished by a soft but extremely “bonded” fibre: it, therefore, combines a certain lightness with great mechanical toughness. Its pale colour is highly valued and over time takes on a delicate pink hue.<br /> Customised and made with Italian walnut, European cherry, Slavonian oak, maple.</p> | Matter of Stuff

S.Marco Lounge Chair - <p>San Marco is a lounge chair with solid wood structure assembled by the interlocking technique. The seat and backrest are upholstered in leather.<br /> All the surfaces are sanded. The entire manufacturing and finishing process is carried out manually in our workshop. The wood used for this piece is Juglans Regia – common Italian walnut; not dried but “raw”. This wood belongs to the Latin tradition of furniture-making and features an extremely compact fibre which can however be worked without too much difficulty; it is therefore highly suitable for household items. Over time the wood hardens and becomes extremely resistant, and oxidises slightly to take on a progressively warmer amber colour. Customise and made with European cherry, Slavonian oak, maple.</p> | Matter of Stuff
