In Verve, a circular top compounds with a semi-rectangular base to form a sinuous shape with remarkable sculptural qualities. Carefully crafted with a fully upholstered shell in either fabric of leather Verve is suited for any interior from residential homes to public spaces.
“Even the simplest product needs outstanding characteristics to become unforgettable.”
That’s one of the driving forces behind the German/Luxembourg design duo Geckeler Michels. Whose intuitive work reflects a neo-modernist purity.
Echoing their urge to add intrigue to avoid anything ordinary, Geckeler Michels re-imagined the cup chair based on three fundamental geometric forms: the circle, the triangle and the square.
True to the word “verve”, meaning energy, vivacity and enthusiasm, the Verve Chair has a dynamic dimension and yet a remarkable sense of composure. The subtle fusion of the triangles result in a look that slightly changes, depending on the angle from which it is viewed.
Behind the chair are references to the use of geometric shapes in the work of Nanna Ditzel. Expressed in a compact design that radiates a sense of space. An array of fabrics, colours and frame options extend the possibilities of placement from hotels, restaurants and executive settings to private residences.
Wherever you place it, Verve exudes a remarkable sculptural presence. In this inventive expression of contrasting shapes that cohesively come together.
